These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the expose.ac website, dashboard, Discord webhook integration and PC scanner (together, the "Service"). "expose.ac", "we" and "us" refer to the team that runs the Service. By creating an account, buying a license or running the scanner, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
expose.ac is a forensic PC scanner that helps game server staff check whether a player's computer shows traces of cheating software. Server staff create a PIN, the player runs the scanner with that PIN, and the results are shown in a report.
The Service is built mainly for FiveM communities. Features, supported platforms and detection methods may change over time.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if that is higher, to create an account or run the scanner.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your login details secret and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has accessed it.
3. Scanning rules and player consent
Server staff may only ask a player to run the scanner when the player has been told what the scan does and has agreed to it, for example as part of the server's rules or an anti-cheat check.
You must not:
- run the scanner on a computer without its owner's knowledge;
- use scan results for anything other than enforcing fair play on your own server;
- publish or share a player's report beyond what is needed for that purpose;
- use the Service to collect information about people for any unrelated reason.
Players who scan their own computer outside of a server check may be limited in how often they can do so.
4. Scan results
Reports show traces found on a computer and our assessment of them. They are a tool to support your staff's decision, not a final judgement. The server that requested the scan is responsible for any action it takes, such as a ban.
We do not ban players from your server and we do not decide appeals for you. If a player disputes a result, they should contact the server that requested the scan. We may help server staff review a report on request.
5. Licenses, payments and refunds
Paid plans are sold as subscriptions or one-time licenses, as described on our pricing page. Payments are processed by [PAYMENT PROVIDER]; we do not store full card details.
[Describe your refund policy here, for example whether unused subscription time is refunded and how to request a refund. EU consumers keep any withdrawal rights the law gives them.]
If you think a charge is wrong, please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank or payment provider so we can try to fix it. We may suspend a license while a chargeback is open.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, decompile, reverse engineer or modify the scanner, except where the law allows it;
- try to bypass, disable or interfere with the scanner or its detections;
- resell, rent or share your license or account with people outside your team;
- attack, overload or probe the Service or its infrastructure;
- upload content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights or contains malware;
- use the Service to harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone.
If you break these rules we may warn you, limit your access, cancel your license or close your account, depending on how serious the breach is.
7. Your content
Some plans let you add your own content, such as custom detection rules or images. You keep ownership of that content and give us a limited license to store and use it only to run the Service for you. You confirm you have the right to upload it.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including the scanner, dashboard, website, the expose.ac name and the shield logo, belongs to us or our licensors. Your license lets you use the Service as described in these Terms; it does not transfer any ownership.
If you believe something on the Service infringes your rights, write to [email protected] with enough detail for us to find and review it.
9. Third-party services
The Service works with third-party services such as Discord and our payment provider. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for how they operate.
10. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts other users at risk or is required to be closed by law. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.
11. Disclaimers
We work hard to keep the Service accurate and available, but no scanner can detect every cheat and no service is free of errors or downtime. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", to the extent the law allows.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or decisions you take based on a report. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the rights you have as a consumer.
13. Changes
We may update the Service and these Terms. If a change to the Terms is significant, we will let you know in advance, for example by email or in the dashboard. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, the new Terms apply.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Disputes go to the competent courts of Romania, unless the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim there.
If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a term right away does not mean we give up the right to enforce it later.
